We Will Be Observing the Two Minute Silence on Remembrance Sunday Will You?

This year The Royal British Legion are trying some thing new -  They will become the first UK organisation to use the Thunderclap social media tool. So what is Thunderclap you may ask.

"The Thunderclap, which lets users opt-in to automatically issue an identical social media message at a designated future moment as thousands of others, will be used to encourage the UK's 10 million Twitter and 33 million Facebook users to observe the Two Minute Silence on Remembrance Sunday (11am on Sunday 11 November)"
I think the Thunderclap is a great idea, Almost everyone knows that we observe the two minute silence or should do no matter where we are or what we are doing - after all it is important and shows respect to all the  servicemen and women who have died fighting for their country in past wars and conflicts, but many people myself included have carried on tweeting or posting on Facebook. This year I definitely won't be  I have already signed up and you can too by using the following link https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/547-two-minute-silence. Once you have signed up you will the following message.

"I won’t forget to Remember on 11.11.11 #2MinuteSilence  Will You?"

So on Sunday along with wearing my poppy I will also have used Thunderclap to remind my friends, family and followers no Twitter and Facebook that I will be observing the two minute silence - I hope you all will too.
