Meatballs - an amazingly delicious dish (Jim Doyle)

Meatballs are a spicy food made out of meat. Usually, they are made out of beef. However, sometimes, chicken is also used to prepare meatballs. Here are the ingredients required to prepare meatballs.

Lean ground beef 1 lb
Egg 1
Water 2 tsp
Bread crumbs ? cup
Minced onion ? cup
Salt ? tsp
Pepper ? tsp

Preparation method

The first step is to preheat the oven up to 350 degrees. Then pick up a large bowl and mix together the ingredients: an egg, water, bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper. Then break the ground beef into clumps and add it to the mix. Then you should crush it properly with your hands. Take the clumps and change them into the shape of balls. Keep them on a broiler pan. Grill them at 350 degree Celsius for at least 30 minutes. By this time they will lose its pink color. You have perfect meatballs waiting to be served.

Sweet and sour meatballs

Instead of sticking to the simple preparation you can try your hand at some other recipes. Here are the needed ingredients:

Ground beef 1 pound
Egg 1
Dry bread crumbs ? cup
Diced onion 1
Brown sugar 1 cup
All purpose flour 3 tsp
Water 1 ? cups
White vinegar ? cup
Soy sauce 3 tsp

How to prepare

Take a medium-sized bowl and compound the ground beef, egg, onion and bread crumbs. You should mix well and turn it into the shape of golf-sized balls. Place the balls onto the large skillet and heat it under average temperature. Once the balls become light brown in color, stop heating them. Again, in a large sauce pan compound the other ingredients including brown sugar, water, vinegar and soy sauce. Then, boil them. You should bring down the heat and allow them to boil for 30 minutes. You should stir them at regular intervals. When you see the color changing into brown, you can be sure that everything is absolutely ready.


Chicken meatballs

Meatballs can also be made from chicken. Here are is a list of the ingredients:
Ground chicken 1 pound
Beaten eggs 2
Cream cheese ? cup
Grated parmesan cheese ? cup
Dry bread crumbs 1 tsp
Red pepper flakes 1 tsp
Italian seasoning 1 tsp
Garlic powder 1 tsp
Vegetable oil 1 ? tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 teaspoon
Preparation Process

The cooking process starts with preheating the oven up to 230 degrees Celsius. Place a large bowl and inside it make a compound out of chicken, cream cheese, eggs, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, pepper flakes, salt, garlic powder, vegetable oil, and black pepper. Make a perfect mixture out of these ingredients. Then, turn it into the shape of balls. Keep it on the pan and then place it in the center of the oven. Heat it at the temperature of 74 degree Celsius for 15-17 minutes or until the mix gets rid of the juicy part. Then, take it outside and allow it to set. Now you can proudly serve the dish.
