Simplehuman Soap Dispenser Review

For the last month or so the boys have had a new gadget to play with in the bathroom. I say play because washing their hands has become their new favourite past time. What is the cause for this? The Simplehuman Soap Dispenser thats what.

The first thing that caught my  eye when I took soap dispenser out of its box was its bright coloured cap. There are 3 colours you can choose from, blue, green or pink. As I have all 3 boys I decided on the blue one.

This soap dispenser is unique and its features include:
  • Is refillable and perfect for liquid soap, lotion or hand sanitiser
  • Easy-to-use buttons  which control how much soap to dispense
  • No messy spills: wide opening makes refills fast, easy, and spill-free
  • LED that lights up green when sensor is activated, and turns red when there is low battery power
  • You can dispense soap manually at any time by holding down the + button on top of the pump
The dispenser appeals to me as it is touch-free, neat, easy and automatic, meaning that no germs are passed on (something us mums fear when a sickness bug is doing the rounds), and there's no gloopy soap left behind. I hate hate hate it when the boys used to wash their hands and leave mess behind.

The dispenser is priced at £29.99 and it comes with a pouch of soap to get you started. You can buy refills for the dispenser. They are priced at £6.99 each. Each refill is 1 litre. You can purchase different fragrance refills too. The dispenser holds 237 mls at a time so each refill will last you about 3 refills. Depending on how many times you use the dispenser a day will determine how long between a refill is needed. It is easy to refill to as the cap just pulls off, it is literally a 20 second job if that.

4 x AA batteries (not supplied) are required for the dispenser to work. For more information about this product and other products check out Simplehuman
