In the box you will find everything you need to play the game. There is:
1 x game insert with three compartments
3 x lids
4 x medicine bags
24 x medical instruments
1 x die with symbols
1 x set of game instructions
The game is aimed at children aged 3+ and is designed to be played by 2 - 4 players. The rules state that the youngest player starts first so in our case this was James. The aim of the game is to simply fill your medicine bag with Doc's medical instruments. The first person to do this wins the game. Each player takes turns to role the die. Once it lands on a symbol they can then open one of the 3 games compartments to see if the piece that they need is hiding under there. But players have to be careful not to land on the teardrop symbol, if this happens they have to return one of their pieces. If they land on the plaster symbol they can then choose any piece they wish. This could be crucial if you are waiting on a final piece.
James is our unbeaten winner at the minute and he loves to tell us all that he is the champion. He is only just starting to play board games properly with his brothers but he found this game really easy to get to grips with and of course he loves winning (what 4 year old doesn't. I think this game is ideal for anyone who wants to introduce their child to board games. It is a very quick game and play actually only lasts 5 - 10 minutes maximum. But to me this is enough time for any little one.
As always we look forward to next months puzzle.
