Everyone loves a good board game at Christmas. It is a tradition of ours that either after dinner or on Boxing Day when the family are visiting that we will all sit down to play a game. I love this time with my boys and family as it is rare that we get to spend quality time all together as we don't live near each other (my mum lives 80 miles away and my dad a further 10 miles from her).
We were sent a Don't Rock The Boat board game and I am pretty sure that this will be a game the boys will be playing with their Grandad over the festive period. It has a RRP of £14.99 and is widely available from stores such as Toys ‘R’ Us and Waterstones and online from retailers like Amazon. It is aimed at players aged 5 and up but James managed to play it just fine. It is suitable for 2 - 4 players.
In the box you will find a boat with 3 masts, a 2 piece water wave and 16 pirate penguins and instructions.
This balancing game will keep both children and adults entertained as players takes their turn to carefully place their pirate penguins on the ship, trying not to tip it! Logical and strategic thinking come into play if you want to be the last player standing - and it is a lot harder than you think especially when more and more penguins are placed on the ship.
It is a relatively quick game to play and had all 3 boys laughing a lot -especially when they were the one who made the penguins fall off the boat.
Don't Rock the Boat is definitely a fun game for all budding buccaneers! It requires no batteries to play so can be played over and over again.
