Sing and Play Jingle Bells App

Jingle Bells is one of those Christmas songs that never grows old, my boys love singing it and even sing various versions of the tune too. So recently when we were asked to review the Sing and Play Jingle Bells App I knew that they would love to try it out.

The app is created by parents and features popular children’s Christmas carols and combines an entertaining and rewarding introduction to music with 10 engaging educational activities. 

Kids can complete puzzles such as ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ and ‘Silent Night’ and watch them come to life through playful animation, decorate and colour a selection of Christmas pictures with a range of tools, practice to sing and play ‘Jingle Bells’ on the keyboard, experiment with sounds and record their own music through the free play option and even complete their very own animated sticker sound board with reward stickers achieved during game-play. The app allows children to explore through imaginative and early learning musical fun and features rich animation, straight forward touch screen control, as well as helpful audio prompts.

The activities on the app are:

• Jigsaw puzzles – Based on 4 different seasonal songs - ‘Jingle Bells, ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’, ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Ding Dong Merrily on High’. Once completed, children will watch in wonder as the pictures come to life, allowing them to play with everything they can see.

 

• Playable keyboard – Let’s make music! Children can learn and practice  the Jingle Bells song, as well as have fun with the freeplay activity on the keyboard, experimenting with different funny silly sounds! 

• Colouring activity – Get creative with different brushes and tools! Use them to colour and decorate a Christmas scene, each based on a different Christmas classic.

• Animated sticker soundboard – Children can earn stickers throughout game-play as rewards, which then unlock in this sticker activity.

Sing and Play Jingle Bells is an ideal digital stocking filler for children aged 5 and under and is guaranteed to entertain for hours as they learn to sing, discover and play with a whole host of fun musical activities this holiday season. The app is available for £1.49 from the App Store.
