It's hard to believe that Britain’s best-selling comic, The Beano is celebrating its 75th birthday this year! My brother's was huge fans when younger as was our dad before them and now Callum is of an age where he can appreciate the same sense of humour as they used to and he loves to read The Beano too.
If you are looking for stocking fillers for Christmas and have a boy who is a Beano fan then the 2014 Beano Annual is definitely something you need to think of as a possible gift idea.
The annual has 112 pages each one is full of mischief from the likes of Dennis the Menace, The Bash Street Kids, Roger the Dodger, Minnie the Minx and many more, one of my childhood favourites is Bananaman.
You will also find pages of joke, puzzles and pranks - perfect for the mischief makers in the house.
What I like about this gift is that there isn't masses of text per page. As much as Callum loves to read I know there are many of his friends who don't. I think this is a shame but because there isn't too much text (even the stories in the annual are only 2 -3 pages long) it keeps the reader interested and because there is other things within the annual it will keep them entertained too.
