Christmas Baking Fun With Cake Angels

Baking always makes for great Christmas fun and James is a very happy little boy when he can help out in the kitchen. He was over the moon recently when we were sent some goodies from Cake Angel's Christmas range of products - he couldn't wait to get stuck in. There are so many different things you could bake over the Christmas period, gingerbread, cakes, buns, yule logs, the list is pretty much endless.

We were sent a Festive Fun Cupcake Kit, a White Christmas Decoration pack, and some edible cake decorations. Each item is everything you need to decorate your festive cakes, cupcakes or buns.

The Festive Fun Kit has all you need to make some festive treats. All you need to add is one egg, some butter and a bit of water. James loved mixing all the ingredients together. I love the fact that this kit is something that you can do quickly as it is just a matter of throwing all the ingredients into a bowl and mixing them together.

Once you have spooned the mixture into your bun cases its time to let them cook. This takes 12 -15 minutes. James was very impatient for this time to pass and he didn't realise he had longer to wait for them to cool. Once they had cooled James enjoyed decorating the cakes. But make sure yo don't make the same mistake as I did and make the icing too runny (yes I know I am useless at this) However, we managed to salvage the icing and I do think James' cakes look fabulous. They tasted pretty yummy too. We decorated the buns with the sprinkles included in the kit along with some of the extra decorations we were sent.

We were also sent some lovely edible cake toppers. These would look lovely on the top of any Christmas Cake. I intend to use ours on top of the cake that Matthew's mum has made us. We always collect it on Christmas Day. These will be the perfect finishing touch.
