Cherizena Christmas Coffee

I am not a big coffee drinker and never have been but I do like the occasional cup now and then. Recently I was asked to try a sample of Cherizena Christmas Coffee.

This coffee is a limited edition just for the festive season. It is a Colombian medium roast coffee infused with Jamaican rum, nuts, citrus and spices. Last year almost three quarters of a tonne of the specially flavoured coffee was sold.

Christmas Coffee makes the perfect present for coffee lovers, the ideal accompaniment to any festive gathering or a fitting finale to a Christmas meal.

You can order your coffee as either beans or  already ground to suit how you make your coffee. I chose the beans as we have a coffee grinder. You can also chose either regular coffee and decaffeinated.

I didn't think you would be able to taste the spices in the coffee and I wasn't sure that I would like it if you could. But it is a very subtle taste. The coffee also has a lovely aroma when first made. It has that lovely Christmassy smell to it almost like warm gingerbread.

Priced at £3.25 for a 115g pack, the Christmas coffee is one of a host of around 20 different flavoured coffees created by Cherizena, a family run business based in Leicestershire. The company, is a specialist supplier of premium, speciality and flavoured coffees, they also offer up to 30 single origin coffees and blends – all available by mail order. For more information or to order visit www.cherizena.co.uk.
